COVID-19 UPDATES
As COVID-19 continues to evolve, we find ourselves in a time of uncertainty impacting the way we do business. SFM is operating in the best interests of our agents and policyholders, and continues to follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and Property and Casualty Insurance legislation.
We understand that an interruption to your daily operations can have catastrophic effects. Although SFM colleagues and employees are working remotely, it is paramount to remain available and provide a consistent level of service to help you during these unprecedented times.
POLICYHOLDER NOTICE
SFM understands that our valued policyholders may be facing significant obstacles and may find it challenging to pay insurance premiums timely.
If you are experiencing demonstrable financial hardship due to COVID-19, you may be eligible for extended payment terms or other relief. Please reach out to your agent or broker to discuss payment plan options, extensions to current policies that are being non-renewed, and other ways to prevent a policy cancellation for nonpayment of premium. Until June, 2020, we will:
- Suspend all policy cancellations for nonpayment
- Waive all late fees on premium payment
- Continue regular premium billing
In every instance, we will continue to follow regulatory guidance and provide support to our agents and policyholders as needed.
